Matt is a brand strategist, innovator, entrepreneur, and inventor. He has established and developed multiple businesses in the past eighteen years and is passionate about seeing fresh ideas grow in full-scale companies.
Matt earned his master’s degree in brand strategy from the top-ranked national program, The Brand Center, at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has a gift for understanding trends and consumer groups, and for translating this knowledge into the creation of strong brands. He has helped multiple businesses with his technique of “branding by inception,” which he describes as a way to position a company for future success by weaving threads of branding through every aspect of a business. He believes that a brand’s lasting strength is developed over time with consistent and quality branding.
Matt is an innovator and an inventor. Because of his experience working with multiple business models in various industries, he is a professional at breaking category conventions and developing new ideas. He has a patent-pending and will be looking to file a handful of new patents over the next three years.
He also takes pride in creating lasting companies; his first business is now in its eighteenth year of operation. In 2008, Matt helped launch Luxury Home Magazine in Washington, D.C., which is now in its eleventh year as the number one source used to market a luxury home in the nation’s capital.
He is obsessed with emerging technology and has become an industry analyst in Virtual/Augmented reality, wearables, and connected devices in the medical field. He uses emerging technology combined with brand strategy to help his clients rise above the competition.
When Matt is not building brands, you can find him enjoying the outdoors on ski slopes or restoring historic homes and cars. Matt recently moved from Washington DC to Salt Lake City to be closer to the ski slopes. He and his wife just welcomed their first child into the world last year.
